Marty Bodnar - Estate Planning & Probate
Marty practiced law in Ohio for 14 years both in the public sector and private practice. He served as the elected Law Director of the City of Barberton, Ohio and the Chief Prosecutor of the Barberton Municipal Court. He maintained a private practice focusing estate, business and tax planning, probate and trust administration, real estate, Medicaid planning and non-profit formation.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Marty received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and was a three-year starter on the basketball team serving as a co-captain in his junior year. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron and his Master’s in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
He served as Associate Athletic Director at the University of Michigan Athletic Department directing ticket sales and marketing of U-M’s varsity sports programs. He also worked as an investment advisor for Exchange Capital Management in Ann Arbor passing the Certified Financial Planning exam in 2011.
Marty focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration business and business planning. His financial planning background helps him plan estates while understanding clients’ overall financial picture. His MBA helps him advise businesses with an appreciation for each client’s overall business challenges.
